Hello everyone! My name is Arvind Salem and I am the Director of Content at Policy Matters, a nonprofit working to empower young people to engage in public policy. The content department provides writers the opportunity to express themselves and their views on a variety of public policy areas, including economic policy, foreign policy, environmental policy and many more. CIVIL RIGHTS LAW

Civil rights are the innate social and political privileges all humans are entitled to. The civil rights of individuals or groups can be infringed by sovereign governments, private companies, and even other individuals. The branch of civil rights law serves to protect said innate privileges of individuals, and often serves as an intersection between multiple disciplines of law.
ENVIRONMENTAL LAW
Environmental law encompasses aspects of the law that provide protection to nature and natural resources, including legislation around wildlife, land rights, natural disasters, environmental protection or biodiversity actions.
PHILOSOPHY OF LAW

Legal philosophy explores legal ideological disputes through different opinions on what is right and wrong. We will be covering rather controversial issues with an understanding of different perspectives and theories involved.

Family Law is a legal practice area that encompasses a range of issues, including child law, matrimonial law and domestic relations. It is characterised by its client-facing nature as it involves providing compassionate solutions to a client's, often very personal, legal situation.
ART, CULTURE, AND HERITAGE LAW

Art and culture law is the body of law that envelops domestic and foreign legal conventions It is often regulated and applied to artists, fine art and cultural property including but not limited to cinema, paintings, fine art, architecture, and more. Art laws expose society's faults, freedoms, and artistic expression that can cooperate or at times conflict with root cultural and political ideals
FINANCIAL LAW​

Financial Law refers to legal regulations surrounding commercial banking, investment management sectors, insurance, fintech, derivatives and capital markets. In this sector we will be covering the extensive reach of financial law and its evolution as cryptocurrencies, NFTs and alternative finance platforms are introduced in society.
AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW

American constitutional law mainly deals with America's Bill of Rights, such as the freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, etc. It also involves the rights of the three branches of America's government.

A part of Law Insider which aims to inform a younger demographic of current legal issues in brief details so that students are also able to be informed about complex legal topics happening in today's society
INTERNATIONAL LAW​

The International Law Section covers legal issues that can affect multiple jurisdictions, be they international law debates regarding the Laws of War, or simply theoretical arguments, such as whether the Jury system is best suited for our polarized modern world.
SPORTS LAW​

Sports law holds a focus on the legal relations within sports, as well as the socioeconomic and political implications that different affairs within the athletic world present globally. This category highlights numerous components across the spectrum of law, all which find themselves present in the industry of sports.
LAW REFORM​

Law reform explores changes in legal systems that are made to respond to social or political issues. It is the process of changing and updating laws so that they reflect the current values and needs of society.
IMMIGRATION LAW​
​
Immigration law refers to legal regulations and precedents which control immigration to countries as well as conditions for deportation. It also refers to legal rights of immigrants who are not citizens. This category showcases immigration laws around the world and stories of immigrants who have experienced hardships or success due to the laws.
EUROPEAN LAW​
​
European Law concerns itself with the political and institutional elements of the European legal systems. It specifically looks at the rules of law operating within the member states of the European Union. This includes the political, social, and economic policies, which European nation states share.
OUR VISION
Law Insider is a legal website that publishes articles on legal topics happening in the world today and reports on legal current events around the world. All the articles are written by highschool students and reviewed and currently edited by a talented board of highschool students from around the world.
This website serves to provide students with an opportunity to share their work as well as develop more knowledge about the world today on an array of topical legal issues. Not only that but it opens a new door to a different demographic, informing high school students all around the world about these issues and allows them to read short articles written by individuals their own age that can inspire them to not only be interested in law but take a stance against current world issues.
The website covers many different purposes, the main focus will be on the publishing of articles, but there will be a student spotlight tab, highlighting work that different students have done that deserves recognition while giving them a platform, a subscribable newsletter to keep readers updated on newly published articles, and a legal news section that reports on different current events happening in today’s society.

Law Insider Legal News aims to explore different opinions and perspectives on current legal affairs in various communities around the globe. News stories will cover an array of topics such as politics and criminal law in order to broaden the level of knowledge about these issues and inspire necessary change. The stories which are published are written by our two talented Co-Chief Legal News Editors, in which they try to inspire and inform a younger demographic about complicated legal issues in today's society and explain them briefly and effectively so that students are also able to be informed about complex topics and what the legal world is shaped into today.​
